Claiming Rewards
There are two independent ETH reward streams: staking cycle payouts and burn pool rewards.
Staking Cycle Payouts
If you have active stakes with shares, you earn ETH from four payout cycles.
- Go to the Rewards section
- View unclaimed ETH across all four cycles (8-day, 28-day, 90-day, 369-day)
- Click Claim ETH Payouts to collect all in one transaction
Your reward per cycle:
yourReward = (yourShares / totalActiveShares) x cyclePool
Burn Pool Rewards
If you burned LODE during a 28-day cycle, you earn a share of that cycle’s burn pool.
- Go to the Rewards section
- View unclaimed burn pool ETH
- Click Claim Burn Pool to collect
Your reward:
yourReward = (yourCycleBurns / totalCycleBurns) x burnPool
Triggering Distributions
Before anyone can claim, payouts need to be triggered. This is permissionless — anyone can do it:

triggerPayouts automatically distributes first if needed, so you usually only need to call one function. In practice, automated bots handle this.
Tips
- Rewards accumulate across cycles — no need to claim every time
- Staker payouts and burn pool rewards are claimed separately
- Claiming does not affect your active stakes or shares
